With
the
cooperation
of
the
Land
Park
Golf
Course,
a
small
band
of
volunteers,
and
the
support
of
our
sponsors,
the
47th
annual
Fizz
Bowl
Golf Classic is
a
go.
The
Fizz
Bowl
is
following
the
national
trend
and
will
“Occupy” the
Land Park Golf
Course
on
Sunday,
January
1,
2012.
The
Fizz
Bowl
wants
to
express
its
outrage
at
99%
of
the
golfers
who
have
fun
playing
golf
play
weekly
and
demand
that
the
1%
of
us
occupy
the
Land
Park
Golf
Course
and
have
an
outrageously
good
time
on
New
Year’s
Day.
Sources
close
to
the
Fizz
Bowl
indicate
that
the
master
plan
to
occupy
the
golf
course
includes
food,
beverage
and
fierce
competition
among
the
occupiers.
One
veteran
Fizz
Bowl
observer
was
quoted
as
saying,
“These
current
occupy
protestors
just
don’t understand
how
to
create
havoc.
During
the
Fizz
Bowl’s
heyday,
women
and
children
stayed
off
the
streets during
the
Fizz
Bowl.”
It
is
rumored
that
some
of
the
original
Fizz
Bowl
participants
will
return
this
year
to
show
this
younger
generation
how
to
really
celebrate
the
New Year.
The
tradition
of
the
Fizz
Bowl
will
be on
display
on
Sunday,
January
1,
2012.
